Hi! My name is Jeffrey Baek and I’m a sophomore in high school. The 'Smile for Children' foundation was originally founded by my grandfather, a world-renowned plastic surgeon in South Korea, who treated children with congenital facial deformations such as cleft palate. It was his dream to give these children normal faces so that they would not be shunned from society. For the last 23 years, 3,965 children have been treated by this foundation. The surgical team, including myself, is now preparing to go to Vietnam and Myanmar next summer to deliver charity surgery for around 100 children. These greatly appreciated funds will help deliver the costly care that these children deserve. With your help thousands of kids with cleft palate will be able to smile!
