Help Simba Heal – A Sweet Cat Fighting for His Life

It all began with a small group of local volunteers — just a few animal lovers who couldn’t turn their backs on the stray and dumped cats struggling to survive on our streets. What started as a few rescues grew into a mission of compassion.

Over the past three years, we’ve rescued and cared for more than 400 cats, officially forming our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Cat Allies Project. Every cat we save reminds us why we do this — because each one deserves love, safety, and a second chance.

Today, one of those lives urgently needs your help. His name is Simba.

We don’t know if Simba was abused or hit by a car, but when a kind 17-year-old boy found him, he was in terrible shape — bleeding, drooling, and unable to eat. His jaw was completely fractured, and he was limping in pain. The boy hid Simba in his room, desperate to comfort him, until we were notified and rushed Simba to the emergency vet. Despite his injuries, Simba was gentle and trusting, purring softly as we lifted him. He knew we were there to help.

Now, Simba is fighting for his life.

His treatment will require emergency care, a CT scan, intensive hospitalization, blood work, and jaw reconstruction surgery. The estimated cost is between $6,800 and $11,500 (See image for the bill quote) — far more than our small rescue’s savings, especially as we continue caring for other cats in need.

Without this surgery, Simba won’t survive. But with your help, he can heal, eat, and purr again — and one day find a loving forever home.
