This isn't easy for me to do. To feel vulnerable; to ask for help. But here I am because my sweet Selena means the world to me and I need help to give her the best chance I can to get her healthy and have her around longer.

Selena has Cushings disease and recently was diagnosed with severe laminitis. Her blood work also came back showing high insulin. Putting her on 3 medications, special front boots, stall rest and soaked hay prior to every feeding. Around 6 weeks we will evaluate her progress. The vet bill alone is financially hard but the medicine is even more expensive to continue and all the extra bedding and maintenance keeping a stall bond horse. I fear harder decisions will be coming but ask for prayers that she turns around even if she will need to be on daily medications. Any help is greatly appreciated and all the prayers do not go unheard. Selena was a special gift to me. My first horse in my adult life to call my own. The bond we've built in the 6 years I've had her is something special.
