Sweet Honey has already endured more than most dogs ever should.

She was hit by a car and left with a shattered femur, struggling to survive as a starving stray in a village in Northern Thailand. And yet, despite her pain, she greets the world with a gentle spirit and a wagging tail. Her beautiful eyes and loving nature hide the suffering she's been through — you’d never guess how much she’s hurting. Today we learned she needs an amputation, as the x-rays show.

In a place where veterinary care is scarce and many animals go unseen, injuries like Honey's can be a death sentence.
