Hey friends,

I am on a mission to help a desperate momma; this young mom is trying so hard to get ahead for herself and her 10-month-old daughter. Sarah (name changed for privacy as she is leaving a dangerous DV situation) has been in shelters for months, exhausting all resources. She has tried to get more work hours but is unable to due to having epileptic seizures and stress-induced seizures. She has been in and out of the hospital trying to find answers. She does have a Dr. appointment this month for further testing. She was approved for rent assistance but when funds were requested, she was told there are “no funds at the moment.” The shelter that Sarah is at is 18+ only, so she is not allowed to take her baby girl with her. She has been using some free resources in the quad cities area but unfortunately all has been exhausted. Sarah is currently enrolled in school pursuing a career in Healthcare Management. So she is currently trying to juggle school, work, and her living situation. At this point, she has until Oct 31 to find a place to live before she will be back on the street to figure out a roof over her head. Her social worker has been extremely helpful and trying to exhaust all she can do to help her, but we are just stuck. Let’s just say some social services made to help people just make it impossible. We have found Sarah a house; however, we can’t get funding to secure the rent and to get her established. We are hoping to get her 6 months of housing now through the cold months. If you can, please make this happen for her.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Sarah, and she truly is so motivated and determined to make a better life for herself and her daughter. She is a firm believer God is faithful and this is only a season.
