Hello everyone, My name is Dominic Yanez, than you all for taking a minute to read through this. I’m reaching out today to ask for your kindness and support in helping my dear friend, Sam. Sam was born with a hearing defect and has faced challenges with his hearing for his entire life. Despite these challenges, he has never let it hold him back. He has always been a kind, hardworking, and determined person who strives to overcome obstacles with a smile on his face. However, he recently hit a major roadblock his hearing aids, which he relies on for work and everyday life, have completely stopped working.

Sam originally received his hearing aids through Texas Workforce, but unfortunately, he does not have the funds to replace them. Without them, his ability to communicate, work, and engage with the world around him has been severely impacted. As you can imagine, losing access to something so essential has been incredibly difficult for him. Throughout his life, Sam has faced a lot of unfair treatment simply because of his hearing loss such as rude jokes. He has been picked on and bullied for something that is completely out of his control. But through it all, he has remained strong and kind hearted, never letting negativity change the person he is. If you’ve ever met Sam, you know how much he loves to help others. He is always the first to lend a hand, offer words of encouragement, and brighten up someone’s day. Now, it’s our turn to help him. Our goal is to raise enough funds to surprise Sam with new hearing aids so that he can regain the independence and quality of life he deserves. Hearing aids are not just a convenience for him they are a necessity. Without them, his ability to work, socialize, and even do simple daily tasks is extremely difficult. We want to take this burden off his shoulders and show him that he is surrounded by a community that cares.
