Meet Sally — our 14-year-old angel baby.
In July 2025, Sally dislocated her right hip while simply stretching one morning. After weeks of being misdiagnosed and watching her struggle in pain, we finally got answers — and she had to undergo an emergency FHO (femoral head ostectomy) hip surgery just to be able to walk again.
Just as she was beginning to heal, our hearts were shattered all over again.
Now Sally’s left hip is doing the same thing — popping in and out of place, causing severe pain and making it difficult for her to walk, stand, or even go to the bathroom. Watching her try to move through this has been heartbreaking. This second hip will also require surgery if she is going to have any quality of life.
Over the past year, we have been overwhelmed with medical emergencies for two senior dogs at the same time. Between emergency vet visits, X-rays, ultrasounds, bloodwork, medications, and Sally’s first surgery, we have completely exhausted our savings. We have done everything we possibly can on our own — and now we are at the point where we need help.
Sally isn’t just a dog. She is our family.
She has been with us her entire life — through every hard moment and every joyful one. She still greets us with love, still wags her tail, still wants to be here with us. She deserves comfort, dignity, and relief from pain in her golden years.
We are trying to raise $10,000 to cover her second hip surgery, post-operative care, medications, and follow-up visits. Every single dollar goes directly toward giving Sally the chance to walk again without agony and to enjoy whatever time she has left surrounded by love instead of suffering.
If you are able to donate or share Sally’s story, we are endlessly grateful. Even spreading the word makes a huge difference.
Thank you for helping us fight for our sweet girl. ❤️
