Meet Nabwire Salima, a bright and courageous 4-year-old girl from Iganga District, Uganda. Born with spina bifida, a congenital condition that affects her spine and spinal cord, Salima's life has been a testament to resilience and determination.
Despite her condition, Salima's smile can light up a room, and her kind heart has captured the hearts of everyone she meets. However, her mother, Nakazibwe Shirah, has shouldered the weight of caring for Salima's needs alone. After being abandoned by Salima's father, Nakazibwe has bravely taken on the responsibility of providing for her daughter's medical care, education, and well-being.
Salima's condition requires specialized care and attention. With the support of the St. Jude Africa Children’s Foundation, we're working to give her a chance at a better life. Our goal is to raise funds to:
- Provide Salima with a specialized wheelchair to improve her mobility and independence
- Enroll her in a special school that caters to children with disabilities where she can receive the education and care she deserves
- Support her mother with medical expenses and daily care
Your contribution will bring hope and joy to Salima and her family. Every donation counts, and together, we can make a difference in her life.
