Story

Hi, my name is Marcelle, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my sister, Sadie, who has recently faced a series of devastating medical challenges. Earlier this year, Sadie suffered a severe stroke that has left her registered blind. As she was still adjusting to her sudden vision loss, she accidentally stepped on an object she couldn’t see leaving a sore on her foot that got infected. After six difficult weeks trying to save her leg, doctors had no choice but to perform an amputation below the knee. If that wasn’t enough, Sadie is also in severe heart failure, which complicates her recovery and adds even more urgency to the care and support she needs. Our world has been turned upside down. Sadie has always been the kind of person who helps others be that family, friends or strangers. A selfless individual who never complains about the bad cards she’s been dealt in life. Now, she’s facing the biggest challenge of her life, and we’re determined to be by her side every step of the way. We’re raising funds to help Sadie regain stability, safety, and dignity in her daily life.
