Due to noticing some changes in her body and not feeling well over an extended period, Ryanne scheduled an appointment with her doctor. Though there were initially no concerns, further exams and blood work led to an ultrasound and biopsy, which returned a stage one endometrial cancer diagnosis in November 2024. A month later, during a full hysterectomy and tumor removal, the surgeon found hundreds, if not thousands, of tiny tumor nodules scattered across her abdominal cavity and organs. This finding immediately advanced the diagnosis from stage one to stage four.
With a very strong will to heal so she could live to rear her children—ages 13, 12, 9, and 7—to adulthood and eventually hold her future grandbabies, Ryanne took dramatic, disciplined action to fight the cancer. She initially fasted for seven days, followed by strict dietary restrictions, and spent countless sleepless nights researching integrative therapies to employ alongside traditional treatment. She experienced a brief reprieve from cancer during 2025; however, in late 2025, it began growing quickly, doubling every 30 to 40 days. In mid-April, the family was notified that, due to the status and growth rate of the cancer, Ryanne may only have weeks or months to live. She is currently undergoing another round of treatment, and the family is hoping to gain more precious time with mom. They are spending as much time with her as they can and are thankful for every moment.
