Help Save Ruggar – My Best Friend and Lifesaver

Hi, my name is Nishat and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my beloved dog, Ruggar, who has recently been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor called apocrine gland anal sac adenocarcinoma.

Ruggar was adopted 7 years ago, and from the moment he entered my life, everything changed. He has been more than just a dog—he’s my best friend, emotional support, companion, and whole world. Ruggar has been by my side through every high and low, offering love and comfort in ways I can’t fully describe. I truly cannot imagine life without him.

A few weeks ago, Ruggar was diagnosed with a malignant tumor near his anal sac. This type of cancer is aggressive and often spreads without warning to internal organs or lymph nodes. I was devastated. But there’s still hope—his chest x-rays and abdominal ultrasound thankfully showed no visible signs of the cancer spreading. This is the best-case scenario in a very scary situation.

Ruggar’s surgery is scheduled for April 24th. According to his oncologist and vet, without this surgery, he would likely only have 5 months to live. The surgery will remove the tumor and nearby lymph nodes to prevent its spread. Ruggar is otherwise a very healthy, active dog, and his oncologist strongly believes he is a good candidate for this life-saving operation. After surgery, additional treatment like chemotherapy or radiation may be needed to slow the cancer's return and give him the longest, healthiest life possible.

The financial burden of all this is overwhelming. I have already spent a significant amount on exams, imaging, medications, and consultations. The surgery and follow-up care alone will cost around $7,500—something I simply cannot afford alone. I’m humbly asking for your help.
