Hello! My name is Kennedy, and I am raising funds for my cat, Rudy. He has been suffering for a number of years now with a corneal sequestrum in his left eye, and the vet has recommended surgery. The surgery is estimated to be $5,444.39 CAD, or around $3,900 in USD. This is an extremely steep cost. I have enough in my savings to cover about half, and I have a family member helping me as well, but it simply isn't enough to cover it.

A corneal sequestrum is when dead tissue forms on the cornea of the cat’s eye. Sometimes they can heal on their own, but unfortunately, Rudy’s has progressed too far and will require surgery.

I am asking for help to raise funds so that I can afford this surgery. He is currently partially blind in the area where the sequestrum is, and it is very painful for him. One of my vets described it as if there was a perpetual piece of sand on your eye. For as long as the sequestrum remains, he will experience pain and excessive discharge, and is at risk of causing further damage.
