Give Royce a Chance at More Good Days #FIGHTINGLYMPHOMA

If you’ve ever loved a pet like family, then you already understand what Royce means to me.
Royce is my 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier—but more than that, he’s my emotional support animal, my shadow, my peace, and my reminder to breathe when life gets too loud. He is curious, deeply loving, a little skeptical (especially about new snacks), and loyal in a way that has healed parts of me I didn’t even know were broken.
He’s not just a good boy—he’s my good boy. And now, he’s in the fight of his life.
Just days ago, Royce was diagnosed with high-grade large-cell lymphoma, an aggressive cancer of the immune system. He just turned 3—still practically a puppy, with so much joy and tail-wagging left to give. This disease came fast and without warning. He was playful one week, and suddenly quiet the next. Now his lymph nodes are swollen, his appetite is fading, and the weight loss is setting in. We’ve already spent over $1,100 in emergency diagnostics, and he’s just getting started.
Despite this diagnosis, Royce is still smiling. Still showing up. Still loving without condition.
He’s teaching me, and everyone who meets him, what resilience looks like—especially for a breed that’s so often misunderstood. Royce is breaking stereotypes every day: gentle, goofy, emotionally intelligent. He changes hearts just by walking into a room.
And now, he deserves the chance to keep doing that.
The recommended treatment is a multi-drug chemotherapy protocol called CHOP, which has a high success rate in dogs like Royce—especially since we caught this early. With chemo, he could live 12 to 18 more beautiful, quality months (or more). Without it, we’re looking at just weeks.
But chemotherapy isn’t cheap. We’re currently facing an estimated cost of $4,000–$7,000, and while I’m working hard and applying to every grant possible, I can’t carry this alone.
So I’m asking—as a fellow pet parent, a child of someone who’s ever lost a companion, or just a person who’s loved deeply—please help me fight for Royce.
No amount is too small. Even sharing this helps more than you know.
Your kindness could buy us time, give Royce more good days, and allow me to hold onto my best friend a little longer.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for loving animals. And thank you for believing that every life—including his—is worth fighting for.
With love and hope,
Brandon + Royce
