This is Ricky, for the past month we noticed he started losing interest in his food. He just wanted treats only, and it got the point where we had to sit and hand feed him, we thought he was getting tired of his food so added chicken broth to get him to eat and it worked for a while. Till recently about 3 days ago, ricky stopped eating, he started throwing up 2 days after, we noticed blood coming out of his bottom, and he was still throwing up, we rushed him to the vet and we were told he might have an object obstruction. It was suggested to leave him at the vet till we knew more. The next day we found out it wasn't an obstruction but his intestines and gastrointestinal and I believe called IBS? his body is having a hard time passing food and needs medication to help his body and if possible a feeding tube to help get his intestines working properly as the vet said because the food will stimulate his body to hopefully start working his body properly again (he's not eating). We hope within 3-5 days he'll get better. the vet told us most dogs heal from this 3-5 days but with lots of care and with a strict diet he can live a good life as long as he gets better with proper medication and treatment. During this time its very critical ricky receives treatment. I'm a college student and Im struggling to pay for his treatments, as I'm really the only one paying for it, my little sister was able to help a little bit. my family needs to raise at least 2k-4k due to he may need a feeding tube, though he is eating today so he may not need it we'll find out at the vet tomorrow, but his visit to the vet tomorrow Oct 9th is going to be $500+, It's quite expensive as well as the medications and we are really hoping for a miracle, and to give him at least a chance at life, ricky is a fighter, and is a super sweet dog. We are planning on donating all that was raised to other families If anything bad happens to ricky over the next couples of days.
