Despite the average life expectancy for dialysis patients being 5-10 years, Richard has surpassed this with unwavering courage. Richard's body is weary, but his spirit remains unbroken. He has faced over 26 surgeries, lost his livelihood, and endured unimaginable hardships. Yet, his faith, love for his family, and the support of friends have kept him going. Now, Richard has a chance—a chance to receive a kidney transplant that could save his life. Once final evaluations are complete he will be fast tracked to the top of the national kidney transplant list. The personal costs and financial burden are overwhelming.

The surgery alone is $444,000, not including the expenses for post-operative care, including nurses and a temporary home for recovery.
