Help Us Lay Rhonda to Rest with Dignity

Last Wednesday morning, our world changed forever.

Our mom, Rhonda, was found unexpectedly in her home. She was only 61 years old. The cause of her death is still unknown, and while we wait for answers, we’re left to face the grief and the overwhelming responsibility of handling her final expenses — something we never imagined we’d be doing so soon.

Rhonda was the mom of four, grandma to eight, and great-grandma to two. She was full of energy, always on the go, and always doing something for someone else. She simply couldn’t say no. Her love language was baking and cooking — she’d drop off food to anyone who needed comfort, a warm meal, or just a reminder they were loved.

She loved crafts and painting, always making something beautiful with her hands. Whether it was a handmade gift or a piece of art she proudly showed off, Rhonda found joy in creating. And if you knew her, you knew her favorite word: shenanigans. That one word perfectly captured her playful spirit and the spark she brought into every room.

Rhonda didn’t have life insurance, and she struggled just to get by. She was unmarried and living with very limited means. Now, my sister, brothers and I are trying to cover all of her after-death expenses — funeral home fees, cremation costs, and a simple memorial to honor her life.

She faced life’s storms with courage and fought hard until the end.

We’re humbly asking for help. If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small. And if you’re not in a place to give, please consider sharing this so it can reach someone who might be.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us give our mom the loving, dignified farewell she deserves.
