Help Save Greyhound Lass's eye - Romford Retired Greyhounds

Lass is such a sweet girl, who normally loves her walks, cuddles and life she is only 5 years old so has a lot of years hopefully left ahead of her.

However, we recently noticed she was getting very stressed, and her vision didn’t seem 100%, we saw the vet who then referred us to Optivet, who diagnosed her with a detached Retina, and confirmed she is currently fully blind in her left eye.

They have been very generous and offered us a huge discount on the surgery, due to us being a charity, and Lass being a very good candidate for the surgery to hopefully make her see again, the chances are 90% which is so high.

However, this surgery does have a time limit due to the retina dying off if detached for too long, so ideally looking to do the surgery in the next 2-3 weeks max!

Curve ball, this also means we need to raise 5k within this time frame to be able to get her the surgery she drastically needs, she is so stressed at the moment, not knowing what’s going on and why she can’t see :(

The surgery costs include, surgery with hospitalisation for 48 hours + all the needs and meds whilst under , then post op meds and checkups .

We will of course keep everyone updated on her progress, if we can’t make the target by 2 weeks, unfortunately we won’t be able to get the surgery so will go down a pain management route, and the remainder of the money will go to her care, and any other poorly dogs we have
