My name is Dave and this is my girl, Raven. Recently, Raven has been diagnosed with cancer on her leg joint right above her paw. When her vet told me this, my heart shattered. Raven is my heart and soul, and now I was being told that she has this horrible disease. For the first couple of days after I found out, I just shut down... but she didn't. My girl has shown no signs of being sick (other than the lump on her leg and her limping on said leg). She eats well, drinks well, and still wants to play and go for walks (which I've put on hold since she limps on that leg and I don't want her to hurt herself). My vet says that eventually, the cancer will spread, then it will be time to say goodbye, but Raven and I are not going to just sit and do nothing and just wait for her to die. I have a consultation with an oncologist and am willing to do what I have to do to fight this thing. But fighting cancer is not cheap and I've given everything I have and will still be short. I owe it to my girl to try anything I can to give her a fighting chance at a better quality of life. She means the world to me, and although I'm not the type of person to ask for help, for her I'll do what I have to. Please, if you can help, Raven and I will greatly appreciate it.
