Dear family, friends, and kind-hearted supporters,
My name is Cathy Miller. I have been married to the love of my life, Ralph Miller for 51 years!❤️❤️
Recently, Ralph’s health has started to decline and unfortunately, this journey has been a long time coming as he’s fought with his heart condition since his first surgery where they put in a pacemaker when he was 27. We have added hospice to his care team as Ralph wants to be at home with his family and friends.
I am reaching out to you today on behalf of someone who means the world to all of us—Ralph Miller. As many of you know, Ralph’s health has been deteriorating, and we’ve come to a difficult point in his journey where options are few and far between. His condition has taken a toll on both his physical strength and emotional well-being, and the mounting medical expenses have become an overwhelming burden.
This GoFundMe is being created with one purpose: to give Ralph a fighting chance and the dignity he deserves to say goodbye to his friends and family. Any assistance—no matter how big or small—would mean the world to Ralph and all of us who love him.
With the funds raised, we hope to ease the financial stress of ongoing care and treatments. More importantly, we hope to give Ralph the precious gift of time—time to spend with the people who have filled his life with love, laughter, and memories.
We ask for your support, your kindness, and your prayers. Please respect the family’s privacy as we navigate this incredibly tough time. But know that your messages, your love, and your compassion are welcomed and deeply appreciated.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you. Ralph has touched so many lives over the years, and we are beyond grateful to everyone who chooses to stand beside him now. Ralph dedicated his life as a paramedic to help save others. In return, we hope that compassion finds its way back to him by giving him more time with all of us!
Love you all.
P.S. Please be sensitive to calls, emails or visits as Ralph would NOT approve of any handouts. He has too much pride but I can tell you, after he’s passed, he will be smiling down on all of you who gave him more time with his loved one’s❤️❤️❤️
So many loved ones have asked what is currently going on. I am including his medical Assessment below.
Medical Assessment Summary
Clinical Indicators as follows;
Kidney and Liver Failure
Aortic Aneurysm
Magnesium Level – 0.3 mg/dL (Critically Low)
• Normal: 1.7–2.2 mg/dL
White Blood Cell Count – 2,200
• Normal: 4,000–11,000 cells/μL
CBC with Differential and Platelets – Abnormal
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel – Abnormal
Vitamin D Level – Abnormal
Advanced Coronary Artery Disease
Upper GI Endoscopy (EGD) History
• Indicates gastrointestinal complications — possibly bleeding, ulcers, or malabsorption, which can exacerbate weakness, electrolyte issues, or sepsis risk.
Outcome
• Sudden Cardiac Death: Especially likely due to critically low magnesium, pre-existing heart disease, and systemic stress.
• Sepsis & Septic Shock: Given the low white count, any infection could become fatal quickly.
• Multi-Organ Failure: The kidney and liver failure, plus electrolyte and metabolic disturbances, will likely lead to coma and death.
• Aneurysm Rupture: Can cause instantaneous death due to internal bleeding.
• Severe Electrolyte Crisis: Could trigger seizures, paralysis, and brain dysfunction before cardiac collapse.
• GI Complications: If there's any bleeding or malabsorption, that could worsen already unstable labs and immune suppression.
