Help Rainbow May (Ramadevi) Heal from Cancer ~ Support for a Salt Spring Treasure

Many of us on Salt Spring Island and beyond know and love Rainbow May (Ramadevi) — a creative, kind, and generous presence at our gatherings, markets and community spaces for many years. We have enjoyed being in her hilarious presence and have spent time learning from her with her wealth of knowledge about plants, healing as well as being a Saturday Market Vendor for decades

Rainbow has recently been diagnosed with uterine cancer. As she begins this intense and personal healing journey, she’s needing to take time off from working so she can fully focus on rest, treatments, and nourishment.

This fundraiser is to help cover Rainbow’s wholistic therapies and medical care that aren’t covered by public health which can add up very quickly, as well as helping with basic living costs. Stepping away from her usual income to heal is a big leap of faith, but one she’s bravely taking.

Now is the time for us, her community, to gather around her with love and practical support. Any amount helps and will be an important part of the web of support we weave together to help our dear friend and community member during this challenging time.

If you’re not able to give financially, please consider sharing this with others or volunteer to help with tasks such as juicing, home and garden care, or accompanying and driving her to appointments.
