Dear Friends,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for a very special family who has become like my own. I had the privilege of working with a bright, inspiring young boy named Raffy, and I’m devastated to share that he and his family are now facing some incredibly difficult challenges.

Raffy is part of a loving Dominican family that is full of warmth and resilience. Right now, it’s Raffy, his mom, his little brother, and his little sister. Together, they’ve been through so much, and they always find ways to care for one another no matter the odds.

Currently, Raffy is placed in a special school to meet his physical needs, but recently, his family has been placed in a shelter far away in Brooklyn. They were moved from the Bronx to a building with no elevator, located on the fifth floor. This has made it nearly impossible for his mom, brother, and sister to get him up and down the stairs each day, a physically demanding task that takes a toll on them all.

Despite these immense challenges, Raffy's family continues to pour love and care into him. His brother and sister do everything they can to help their mom, and together they manage to make it through each day. But this situation is becoming unsustainable, and they need our help.

I’m asking for your generosity to help them move to a more accessible home, support their transportation needs, or simply provide some relief during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference.
