Help for Pumpkin the Stray Cat to Get the Loving Home he deserves.

Meet Pumpkin. For the past year, our elderly neighbor has been feeding him outside, but life hasn’t been easy for him. He has a deformity in both of his front paws, which makes it difficult for him to defend himself. At one point, Pumpkin lost all the hair on half of his face after getting into a serious fight with another animal. He was in bad shape then, but he’s starting to look healthy again. Still, he has a few marks that worry us and needs a full exam to make sure nothing more serious is going on.

I already have a cat named Husky, who is part of our family. I recently took Husky to the vet to update his vaccines and discovered he has medical and dental issues that will cost us about $2,500 to treat. Husky’s care is our responsibility, and we’re covering that cost on our own.

But we also want to make room in our home and our hearts for Pumpkin. To do that safely, we need to take him to the vet right away for neutering, flea and worm treatment, vaccines, and an exam for any other issues. On top of that, we’ll need to provide Pumpkin with food, bedding, toys, litter, and a litter box of his own as he transitions inside. We expect the medical care alone to cost at least $500, and every bit of support helps.

Pumpkin is still very scared but is slowly warming up to us — he’s even started letting us pet him. He clearly wants love, and with your help, he’ll finally get to live indoors where he’s safe, cared for, and happy.
