Help Pixel Heal & Live the Life She Deserves
Pixel’s story is one of heartbreak, survival, and hope.
Pixel is a beautiful female German Shepherd Mix who has known more cruelty in her short life than most of us can imagine. As a stray, she wandered the streets with her puppy by her side, just trying to survive. But instead of kindness, she faced abuse — people would throw things at her and her babies, chase them off, and harm them simply for existing.
Eventually, a kind soul helped bring Pixel and one of her puppies to our shelter. We hoped it would be the start of a new chapter — but Pixel, scared and traumatized, managed to escape shortly after arriving. For a week, she was missing, alone, and vulnerable. Then we got the devastating call: Pixel had been shot.
We rushed to bring her back in and took her straight to the vet. She underwent emergency surgery and showed incredible strength through it all. It was during her recovery that we got another surprise — Pixel was pregnant.
Despite everything she'd endured, Pixel gave birth to eight beautiful puppies. She’s been an amazing mama, gentle and loving, even after the world had been so cruel to her. All of her puppies were able to go to a rescue, but the rescue did not want pixel.
Now, Pixel faces a new challenge: she’s tested positive for heartworms.
After everything she’s been through — the streets, the abuse, being shot, major surgery, pregnancy — this girl deserves a chance to live a long, healthy life. She’s currently in a loving foster home where she is finally learning what it means to feel safe. But without treatment, heartworms can be deadly.
We’re raising funds to cover the cost of her heartworm treatment and aftercare. Every dollar goes directly to giving Pixel the life she’s fought so hard for — one filled with love, safety, and good health.
If you’ve ever believed in second chances, Pixel is the perfect reason to give.
Please consider donating, sharing her story, and helping us give this brave mama the happy ending she’s more than earned.
Thank you for your compassion.
