Give Phoenix the Chance to Play Again
Donation protected
My sweet and spunky girl, Phoenix, has torn her CCL (equivalent to a human ACL) and is in dire need of surgery in order to continue having a fulfilled and happy life. She has so much life left in her, and it kills me to see this once energetic and playful girl bedridden due to her injury.
Our home is eerily quiet without her parading her toys around and whining for constant attention. If you have met her, you know she is full of energy and literally brightens any room she is in with her woo-woo’s and love for a good 'ol time. She deserves to live out her life being able to do all the things she loves: playing tug and fetch, morning walks, and fighting the garden hose (her absolute favorite).
I rescued her from backyard breeders who had given up on her at a mere 5 weeks of age. She was skin and bones, full of worms, and the frailest animal I’d ever seen. With lots of love, determination, and vet visits, I got her into good health, and once she felt better, she never looked back. I call her my forever puppy because despite being 10 years old, she acts the same way she did as a young pup. She wants to be here; even with a torn CCL, she tries to play and is sadly surprised when her leg tells her otherwise.
Please help me get my baby the surgery she needs. It’s far beyond my means, but I refuse to give up on her. She’s got too much life in her for this to be how it ends.
