Petunia was able to go home with her family this morning and is comfortably resting. The veterinarian stated she is doing really well and walking, which is the best outcome! Petunia will be on strict bed rest for the next month to fully recover from her surgery. ***UPDATE*** 2/14/25

Petunia had spinal surgery and is recovering at the vet hospital for the next few days. The neurosurgeon stated everything went well and Petunia is resting and slowly returning to her normal self. All donations will go towards the astronomical vet bills Michelle and her family are facing. Thank you to everyone for the kindness you have shown Michelle, her family, and her sweet Petunia in this incredibly scary and stressful time ❤️

My friend's sweet dachshund, Petunia, is suffering from a spinal injury, and needs urgent spinal surgery to have a chance at walking again. At just four years old, Petunia is full of life, love, and endless tail wags— unfortunately, due to her injury, Petunia is completely unable to walk and enjoy life as she should.
