Peter Bartholomew Babcock (Petey) came to us from Savin Juice Rescue Service in Salem, where he was picked up off the streets. His life started rough, and there were suspicions that he came from a dog fighting ring in Wilsonville. But he fit into our lives like he'd always been with us, and we've been privileged to spend the last nine years with him! His love and warmth are felt by everyone he meets!! Yeah, he's spoiled, but that's what dogs are for, right?!

In these nine years, we've fallen head over heels in love with this squishy-bear. We'd move mountains for him and are prepared to go into significant debt if it means we might have more good time with him. Words just can't describe what he means to us, but I'll try. We love him more than BBQ, pizza, and burgers combined (and an eternity more than that!!) and can't think of not trying to give him more time. 10 years isn't enough!!! He's a favorite of the whole neighborhood, and every day on our walks, people have to come outside just to say hi and love on him and get his love back!

But sadly, we found a lump. More specifically, he has cancer in his abdomen, and they're going to have to remove a section of his intestine. Best case scenario is he'll have a longer, happy life receiving very expensive vitamin injections, potentially expensive chemo treatments, and loving care from us! Worst case is that it's already metastasized, and he won't have very long, but either way, we're going through with the surgery. Without the surgery, we would have to euthanize him today, and there is just no way we can stomach that.

Any help you might provide will help keep us out of crushing debt, which we accept without hesitation! Some things are worth going into debt for... But your help is so much appreciated!! We love Petey so much!!
