Why I’m Raising This Money
I’m raising £10,000 to create outdoor, experiential learning programs for children, families, and everyone. Programs that teach real-life skills that traditional schooling often doesn’t.
These experiences won’t just be “fun activities.” They will be carefully designed courses that grow with the child as they develop. Helping them build confidence, resilience, independence, emotional intelligence, and decision-making skills, as well as making it memorable and fun!
Skills for life. Not just for exams.
Why This Matters to Me
My thinking style has been estimated to be in the rarest 0.01–0.03% of people globally. I naturally think in this pattern:
Problem → Idea → Solution → Action → Implementation
And I believe this is how people should be taught to think.
But I wasn’t.
I grew up shy, nervous, and unsure of myself. I was also considered a “naughty” child—not because I was bad, but because I wasn’t being taught in a way that worked for me. I learned to follow instructions instead of learning how to think.
I was taught that trying everything was impossible — that I had to fit into one box. I refused that idea. I explored, experimented, failed, retried, built foundations and implemented them and discovered things about myself I would never have known otherwise. Some of the things I never wanted to try became the things I loved most. I am, and always have been, a force to be reckoned with. When I believe in something, I commit fully.
This led to:
Fear of making decisions
Talking myself out of opportunities
Saying “that’s not for me” without even trying
Giving up quickly
Looking for easy answers instead of learning through failure
I didn’t know how to try, fail, adapt, and try again.
The Turning Point
Everything changed when I moved to South Africa alone for 3 months.
Suddenly, there was no one telling me what to do. No one making decisions for me. No safety net.
It was terrifying.
But it transformed me.
I learned:
Adaptation
Resilience
Problem-solving
Independence
Decision-making
Emotional strength
Self-trust
These skills now shape every part of my life—and I want to give this gift to children before they reach adulthood.
The Question I Ask Every Parent/Person
Ask yourself this:
If my child/Me had to spend one day alone for any reason—no matter their age—could they safely and confidently handle it?
If the answer is no, then this is exactly what I want to change.
For example, no one really teaches you how to use a washing machine. You figure out the buttons, make mistakes, learn what works, and adapt. That’s how adults learn to live independently — through experience, not instruction.
And if you never had the chance to learn those things growing up, that’s okay too. This space is for you as well. We are fully inclusive here. Learning doesn’t stop at childhood.
What I Want to Build
I want to create experiential learning programs where children learn by doing, not memorising.
This includes:
Nature expeditions
Hikes
Canyoning
Caving
Farm visits
Building projects
Survival-style challenges
Outdoor problem-solving activities
Emotional resilience
Decision-making scenarios
Leadership development
Independence-building experiences
All done safely, professionally.
6 years experience of educational training & facilitation of adults in capability and development.
Why Traditional Schooling Failed Me (And Many Others)
I failed maths at school.
Not because I didn’t understand it—but because of how it was taught.
One-size-fits-all education does not work for everyone.
After leaving school, I worked as a barista. One year later, I retook my maths exam.
I passed.
Nothing about me changed.
The way I was taught did.
That’s the power of adaptive learning—and that’s what I want to give to children.

My Promise
I am building something I wish I had as a child.
A place where children learn:
- It’s okay to say no without explanation
- How to trust themselves
- How to make decisions
- How to problem-solve
- How to fail safely
- How to adapt
- How to grow
If you believe People and children deserve more than just grades, please support this.
This fundraiser will help us get the equipment, certifications, and safe spaces needed to bring this learning style to life. Our long-term goal is to create Adventure Schools around the world—while giving back to the communities we operate in and keeping everything as accessible and affordable as possible.
Because let’s be real: these opportunities exist, but they’re often only available to those who can afford them.
We’re here to change that.
My name is Jasmine. I’m 30 years old, and I’m building a new way of learning. One based on real life, real skills, and real experiences. not a single grade needed. Through Movement that matters.
