Help give Penny new hips !
Donation protected
Hello!
We have recently had some sad news that our lovely puppy Penny has hip dysplasia. Unfortunately, at 6 months old she needs two hip replacements! We have explored other options but due to the severity of her case this is the only option to give her a pain free life. Otherwise, without the surgery she will continue to develop arthritis which has already started and her mobility will decline as it becomes increasingly painful for her to play and walk.
We are hoping to raise some money to help pay for this surgery as our insurance doesn’t cover the whole cost! As you can imagine, a new hip doesn’t come as cheap as we hoped!
We got Penny in July from a local breeder to keep me company whilst George is working away. We have quickly became a loving little family and couldn’t imagine life without her!
Penny is a working Golden Retriever and LOVES crunchy leaves and sticks! She loves rolling about the fresh cut grass and having tummy rubs off anyone that walks past… for as long as she refuses to move!
Penny loves nothing more than bouncing about the fields with other dogs and will be friends with anyone, unfortunately she can’t get the squirrels to like her back :( unfortunately, due to her recent diagnosis we have been advised to keep her bouncing and twisting to a minimum meaning she isn’t able to enjoy her walks as she should!
thank you for taking the time to read a little snapshot into our life with Penny and all of your help in supporting us give her a happy and pain free life!
All funds will go primarily towards Pennys first hip replacement. She will then need a second one 12 months later, we hope to fund raise again in the future for this. If we some how have any money left over it will go towards her second hip surgery.
