Our sweet BoBo Boy is fighting for his life.

Today, we received devastating news—he is in kidney failure, and his condition is severe. Our vet told us that at-home treatments won’t be enough. The only chance he has is immediate emergency care at Michigan State University. Without it, we are faced with the unthinkable: putting him down and saying goodbye far too soon.

This isn’t his first fight. When he was younger, he battled blastiomycosis, a fungal infection caused by mushroom spore in the ground, and almost didn’t make it. But he pulled through—stronger and more bullheaded than ever, which is why we think he will pull through this as well. And that’s why we’re not ready to give up on him now.

He is only 4 years old. He is loving, loyal, and has so much life left to live. He’s the kind of dog who greets you with pure joy, who’s always by our side, and who has been there for us through everything. His best friend in the world is his sister Oakley who would be devastated without him, as would we.

We are doing everything we can to save him, but the cost of emergency care is estimated between $5,000–$10,000. This is more than we can handle on our own, especially with such little time to prepare.
