Help give our daughter and her friends the summer they are dreaming of.
Our daughter's name is Ruchama. She is 17 years old with a diagnosis of Prader-Willi Syndrome. During the school year she attends the School for Children with Hidden Intelligence. Ruchama looks forward to summers. She enjoys camp immensely with her friends and together they have a blast! She very much enjoys being tasked with responsibilities that give her a sense of feeling like she's in charge. She enjoys the myriad activities and trips the camp offers together with her group. For the past 8 seasons, Ruchama spent her summers in Camp Morasha. Unfortunately, this summer season the camp isn't going to be hosting Ruchama. However, she was invited to join a sleep-away camp in Lakewood in its second year run by dedicated and warm experienced girls! Ruchama is thrilled! She looks forward to another summer of growth and camaraderie that only camp can provide!
Running a camp for children with special needs takes tremendous effort and resources. This is where you come in. You can make a difference! Any amount that you're able to donate will go very far on making this camp a true reality for Ruchama, and you will be able to have a part in this very special Mitzvah.
