*CW: Images of Animal Injury*
Hi, my name is Lyndsey, and my husband and I are raising funds to help our rescue pup, Oso, to get a desperately needed surgery to alleviate his suffering.
We found Oso abandoned on the street severely injured, malnourished, and barely hanging on. It looked like he had been dumped and likely attacked by coyotes based on the extent of his wounds. Despite everything, he slowly decided to trust me and allowed me to give him water and food. Slowly, we trusted me enough to get him on a leash and rush him to an emergency vet.
Oso has been through more than most dogs could ever survive. He battled parvo, lost nearly 70% of his skin to infection and open wounds, an abscessed hind leg, and suffered from extreme malnutrition and intestinal damage caused by worms and neglect. But despite all the horrific ordeals he’s been through, he’s still the most loving, gentle, and determined soul.
After months of treatment, Oso defied the odds and come so far in his recovery. However, because of the severity of his original injuries, there’s one area that never fully healed. This open-wound is surrounded by scar tissue and cartilage that can not heal on its own without medical intervention. He now needs an expensive surgery to close the wound properly, prevent further infection, and finally live pain-free!
We’ve poured our hearts, time, and savings into Oso’s care, but this last step is more than we can handle alone. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward his surgery, medications, and recovery.
Oso has fought so hard to get this far and with this final surgery, we hope he can finally have the life he deserves full of comfort, safety, and love.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping our miracle pup heal.
