Update: We Lost Our Sweet Ollie
I am absolutely heartbroken to share that our beloved Ollie passed away yesterday afternoon.
After several days in the ICU, fighting so hard, he was doing better. I stayed with him til 2am Friday night, slept nearby at a hotel, went to visit as soon as I woke up, and when I left later in the morning to get a little more rest, he was stable — eating, peeing, trying to open the kennel door, and even meowing at me as I left like he always does. His care team was cautiously optimistic. They gave him a short walk around ICU, and he returned to his kennel and laid down. Moments later, he let out a yowl and stopped breathing. They called me immediately, and I got there before his heart stopped completely. I held him, and he passed shortly after.
There are no words to express the depth of my grief. Ollie was more than just a cat — he was my heart. He brought joy, comfort, and companionship during the hardest times of my life. His loss is unbearable, but I am grateful that he knew love every single day of his life and that I was with him in his final moments.
Your donations, messages, and prayers made it possible for me to pursue every option to try to save him. Without you, he wouldn’t have had the chance he did. I sat with him for hours every day in the hospital, held him through his tests and treatments, and ensured he was never alone. That was only possible because of your generosity.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
All donations will go to paying off my vet bills as around $10,000 was financed through plans offered at the hospital & 0% interest credit card.
My sweet cat, Ollie, suddenly became critically ill and required emergency surgery and intensive care. He’s now hospitalized in the ICU receiving plasma transfusions, fluids, and round-the-clock monitoring.
He’s fighting hard and showing progress, but his treatment costs have reached over $15,000 and are still growing as he recovers. I’ve financed everything I can and driven hours to get him the medicine he needs, but I’m running out of resources.
Every dollar goes directly to Ollie’s ongoing care — his medications, ICU stay, and follow-up treatment. Even $5 or a share means the world.
Thank you for helping me give Ollie the chance he deserves to heal and come home.
