Give Olivia Hope a Fighting Chance Against Cancer

Donation protected
I am the luckiest rescue momma to Olivia Hope, my baby girl I rescued from the streets on Philadelphia 13 years ago. She was stolen, being choked with a rope around her neck by 3 teenage boys on New Years Eve. Since saving her that night, I promised her a life of happiness and nothing but love.

We have been through it all - two TPLO surgeries, IMHA (an auto-immune disease), running into a tree and being stabbed with a pine needle in her eyeball... you could say I adopted a lemon, but, let's get a little cheesy here and say this lemon is not sour, but the sweetest gift I could ever have.

This week Olivia has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. There is no cure. Untreated, it could give us 4-6 months. While she is 13, she is a damn good 13 years old - full of sass, toy playing, food begging, and a tail that winds like a helicopter every time I come home from work. Based on discussions with her amazing vet care at Hanoverview Animal Hospital and researching the work at Purdue, I am going through with NSAIDs and oral chemo.

The cost is significant. I am a person who will not ask for help but for her, I truly can use all the help I could get. I cannot do this by myself. If I do this by myself, I will be left with nothing. I am going to move home to my parents, I am going to be as careful as I can with finances. But this is really a big fight ahead of us, and so that is why I have decided to ask for help.

We will do chemo drugs monthly. Periodically she will have ultrasounds and bloodwork to check the bladder and also, her liver values to tolerate the medication. Chemo is $695 a month. If we end up with using Denamarin to keep liver values at bay, I am looking at $100 monthly for supplements. Adding on the cost of utlrasounds, this will become a lot to save my girl. But she deserves a chance.

Please know I will post all receipts. I will promise you this all goes to fund her. When and if all fails, any existing funds I will split and donate to Philly Bully Team as well as give funds to the Vet Hospital to pay for someone elses emergency care for their pet if they do not have the funds. I will pay it forward.

Thank you all for reading this, supporting us, and knowing that my dog is my everything. My every thought, smile, my every ounce of being. My soul dog needs me, as I need her too.
