Give Old Man the Cat a Chance at a Better Life
Donation protected
I recently discovered a cat colony close to where I live here in Miami, Fl. Among these many cats was one in particular. I call him Old Man. You can tell by looking at him that he has had a rough life on the streets. I asked the establishment where he resides about any backstory or health history on him. There is none, other than he’s been there for years and has some bad arthritis. When I first saw him, he immediately came up to me, wobbly, and limping, due to the arthritis. All he wanted was love. He will even stop eating for pets and scratches momentarily. He is certainly not feral; it breaks my heart to see him in this condition. No living thing, especially a senior cat like this, should be subjected to the conditions he has been in at the age he is at. I would love ideally, for him to have a loving home where he can live out whatever time he has left. Just with fresh food and lots of love. I’ve reached out to a senior rescue and they would be willing to take him as long as he has pretty much a clean bill of health, i.e. no terminal diseases or deteriorating conditions. I’m going to set up a GoFundMe to try and facilitate the minimal testing necessary to determine if he has any type of chronic conditions. Should anything be left over, it will all go with him towards his care. Hopefully, and I am hoping with every fiber of my being, he will be able to go into the care of this wonderful sanctuary. If so, I will transport him myself so that is already taken care of. Any type of help is always appreciated, even if it is to share this post and spread the word. Everyone deserves love, especially this precious life who has known nothing but homelessness.
Thank you so very much.
