Anyone that has a fur baby knows they are like one of your own children. This is my baby Nymphadora. She’s a three-year-old Shih Poo, and she means everything to me.

About two weeks ago, we noticed that she started getting a glaze to her eye, so we took her to the animal hospital, where they told us that she has a mature cataract in her right eye and an immature cataract in her left. She had virtually no reaction whenever they would do things by the right side of her, so her eyesight is almost completely gone on the right, but she can still see on her left for now. Bloodwork all came back normal, which means that this is not caused by diabetes or anything like that. It’s most likely hereditary.

We have called around and got multiple quotes, and the cheapest place we can find is at the LSU veterinarian hospital. The first appointment is gonna be roughly $200, and then it’s gonna cost about another $500 for additional testing, But then the surgery is $3500 on top of that.

Her next appointments is January 8th.

My baby is only three years old. She’s still a puppy; she likes to play, run around, and give out Lovins. If she’s blind, she won’t be able to be herself. I probably won’t raise the full amount, but I’m hoping that I can raise close to it so my baby can live a normal life. Even if it’s only one or five dollars, if you can, please help.
