This past year has been incredibly difficult for my family and I. It feels like we’ve faced one challenge after another, and now my beloved soul dog, Nutella, is facing the toughest battle of all—cancer. Those of you that know me know that Nutella is more than just a pet; she’s a huge part of my life, bringing love, joy, and comfort every single day.
Nutella has been diagnosed with malignant neoplasia on her left rostral palate. After consulting with a surgical specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Tuesday November 5th, I’ve learned that she will need a complex surgery, including a rostral maxillectomy to remove portions of her upper jaw.
Nutella’s journey begins with a CT scan on Thursday, November 6th, followed by surgery scheduled for November 14th. She will need to stay overnight at the clinic after her operation, and I’ll be staying nearby until she is released and ready to come home.
Once she has recovered from surgery she will undergo further treatment to give her the best chance of recovery- such as radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy or a combination of the three. These treatments come with heavy expenses that, after such a challenging year, are beyond what I can manage alone.
The cost of these procedures, along with the ongoing care she’ll need, is overwhelming. After such a tough year, I’m reaching out for help to cover Nutella’s medical expenses. Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards giving Nutella a fighting chance. Your kindness and support mean the world to me, and I am so grateful for any assistance you can provide. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me give Nutella a fighting chance.
