****Update 4****
Noah's surgery went smoothly from a neurology standpoint but his heart function decreased significantly. He stayed intubated for a couple of days to give his heart a chance to rest some. He's on a bunch of new meds. His recovery has been intense. He wasn't tolerating feeds for a week so he lost an entire pound while inpatient. His heart function went back up which was a blessing. He's had issues with discomfort and getting his gut health back in order and finally made it to the 1% of kids who can poop on their own after surgery. He's been going through a flat period where his expressions are pretty blank and sleeping 22 hours a day. At week 3 of recovery he's faced some serious spasticity and so right now our focus is to keep him comfortable. He's 8 months old now and this surgery will set him back developmentally but he is for sure a fighter and we know that he will continue to shock us all. That being said we had to dip into our finances to find him a more comfortable car seat for the long drives too and from his appointments. My husband is still working so hard and we are saving every penny we can. Thank you to everyone that has donated so far! You have no idea what it means to us please keep praying for a speedy recovery. We thank God everyday for keeping our sweet boy safe and we truly feel blessed
**** Update 3 ****
Noah's MRI came back and there was more damage on the right side of his brain from the scarring and some swelling in the deeper parts of the left side as well as swelling in the optic nerves. They believe that his medication Vigabatrin is causing the swelling so we are titrating down on that. His surgery date has been moved up to the 23rd.
**** Update 2***
Noah's surgery is going to be on October 30th. His father and I are incredibly relieved because he has a 90% chance of being seizure free. We are still saving to buy a new home. Anything helps. Thank you for the continued support and prayers.
***Update*****
Noah had another EEG 9/23 and had 7 clusters of seizures. We've consulted with neurosurgery and his case is being presented to the epilepsy board Friday and we'll be meeting his surgeon on Tuesday to discuss the procedure. Please continue to share, pray, donate.

Hello! This is Noah! As a lot of you know, Noah has been through an insane amount of health hardship in his short six months. From meconium aspirations leading to a stroke and him being on the vent for 18 days to coming home with a G-tube and 8 different meds.
He'd been seizure-free since March, but on August 13th, Noah started having infantile spasms. He's had 2 overnight EEGs and is now on 4 seizure meds and is still having spasms. His doctors believe the best course of action is going to be a hemispherotomy. They'll go in and remove the damaged parts of his brain from the stroke and then disconnect what's left of his right side of his brain.
His journey is about to be a lot harder. With recovery being a ton of work, his father and I have been saving to move and buy a home that we can have the space and equipment to better care for Noah. The home we're in now is falling to pieces, and we can't afford to fix it.
My husband is working 6 days a week, and we are actively saving to have a down payment. We'd really appreciate some help saving so we can leave as soon as possible. We'd also like to have funds to make Noah an at-home PT room so he can get more aggressive treatment after surgery and have a better chance of recovering some mobility.
Literally anything helps. If you can't donate, please share or even just leave some prayers and words of encouragement! Thank you in advance - The Greers
