Hi everyone,

My name is Shawn, and I’m fundraising for my baby, Newt (also known as Newt-Skadoot). Last Thursday, I found Newt bleeding and rushed him to the vet, where we discovered he had lost a tooth. The vet treated him with antibiotics and pain medication, but they let me know he’ll need to return within the next two weeks for a full dental work-up. Unfortunately, this will most likely mean pulling more teeth, and the estimated cost of his surgery is around $2,500.

Since I found Newt in a dumpster as a tiny kitten, he has been a vital part of my life and his brother Harry’s as well. He’s grown into the most affectionate, playful companion, and it breaks my heart to see him in pain.

I want to give Newt the care he needs, but after losing my job due to a company restructure in June, I’ve been doing my best just to stay financially afloat. Covering this unexpected expense on my own isn’t feasible.
