Give Nadia the Gift of Mobility

I am raising money to help my cousin Nadia get a new (used) 2022 Toyota Sienna wheelchair accessible van with modified hand controls (see pictures below). The cost of the van is $34,000. To add the following modifications: lower floor, power ramp, secure floor lock, hand control and power driver seat it cost an additional $46,000. Then there is a 6.5% Maryland sales tax which adds an additional $5,200. Bringing the grand total to $85,200.

Recently, Nadia found out that her current van has become rusted underneath, making it no longer safe to drive. Nadia relies on this van as her sole means of transportation since she is unable to ride in a typical vehicle because it cannot accommodate her wheelchair.

Nadia is a retired civil service worker on a fixed income after working for CMS for 25 years. She has always given her time and energy to those in need. For example, she has organized a group of volunteers to serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House for the past 24 years. She was also Ms. Wheelchair Maryland, which focuses on educating the community and advocating for people with disabilities.
