On Sunday, November 19th around 9:15pm I found out the call I’d been dreading for years had finally happened.. my mommy had overdosed and was being taken to the hospital via ambulance. She was found not breathing and blue with no pulse. They were able to get her heart started again by the time they reached the hospital, however after hours of waiting & many tests later, we found out she was on a ventilator and had an anoxic brain injury which is caused by lack of oxygen for too long. We got transferred to Ball Memorial where they did a repeat CT to find out that the injury had only gotten worse and would more than likely continue to worsen. They continued to do repeat bedside neuro exams to test for reflexes and there was never any activity.. On Tuesday, November 21, we began the final process of exams/ tests to determine brain death. After the final test at 9:48am on November 22, 2023 my beautiful momma was pronounced brain dead..

She will transported to an organ donation center in Indianapolis where she will give the ultimate gift to others and save their lives.

We are asking for help if you are able to give her a proper service and burial. My momma had the biggest heart and deserves to be remembered as such.
