Give My Mom More Time: Urgent Cancer Treatment

My mom, Christine, is the strongest and most loving person I know. She has always been there for me — now I’m asking for help to be there for her.

She has been diagnosed with high-grade neuroendocrine cancer in her liver, along with breast cancer that has spread to her lungs and colon. Despite everything, my mom has faced each day with courage and love.

Right now, she is undergoing chemotherapy with Carboplatin and Etoposide, a treatment plan lasting six months. We are hopeful, but we know this chemotherapy will eventually stop being effective.

Her doctors have explained that the next step could be a new treatment targeting DLL3, which her cancer tested strongly positive for (over 90%). This treatment could give her more time with us — but here’s the challenge:

Some clinical trials exist, but my mom may not qualify because of her breast cancer history.

If we have to access the treatment outside of a trial, it may cost up to $30,000 per month — and may not be covered by insurance.

This is not the first time my mom has fought cancer. Her strength and resilience inspire me every day. But this battle is harder, and the financial burden is overwhelming.
