Give my children something to look forward to..

Hi, my name is Sam and I am 47 and currently nearing the end of my life, after being diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2020 and then devastatingly we found out in December 2021 that it had spread to the fluid that surrounds my brain and after a recent trip - (little did I know this would be my final holiday with my family to Lanzarote) I took a funny turn and ended up in hospital which led to another MRI being carried out, to find out the next day it had spread further and unfortunately no more could be done and I was given days left to live.

Here I am 3 weeks later - my condition has deteriorated, I can no longer walk and my ability to swallow is going, and my conversations can be confusing at times but I can still give my visitors short responses and always a little smile.

My children Hattie, 14 and Dominic, 10 are at such impressionable and vulnerable ages to face life without me around. Hattie will soon be doing her GCSE's and Dominic starting secondary school for the first time. I myself am a secondary school teacher and never imagined I wouldn't be there for these major events in my childrens lives.

My original wish was for us all to go to Disneyland Paris as I have such fond memories of going there as a child, this is now an impossible trip for me.

So instead, I would love to give them something to look forward to, whether its something horse related for Hattie, or football related for Dom or a getaway for the 3 of them- just something to make the world seem far less cruel for them.
