Hello Beloved,
This is Mr. GREY. He was born 1/3/21. He's a beautiful SharPei/Pitbull mix. He's one of the most beautiful, friendly, loyal and healthy dogs you ever want to meet.
But his health began to decline around October 16, 2024. That's when he began throwing up continuously coupled with projectile diarrhea. It was so bad. I was able to pull-down funds to get him a vet appointment and on October 22nd he was diagnosed with Pancreatitis. We received medication and a strict bland diet. Things began turning around and going well for Mr. GREY. However last week it started all over again.
I can sustain my mortgage my bills and the essentials but unfortunately my finances do not rise enough to cover this crisis. I was able to cover the initial vet bills and medications. Mr. GREY hasn't eaten in almost four days. I
took him to the beach on yesterday (Veterans Day) just to clear my head and for him to get out breathe nature's air. Also to get clarity. We witnessed the most beautiful sunset and then it hit me...CrowdFunding!!! I located to greatest Emergency Vet Hospital. I pulled $195 from next months mortgage for a general assessment and plan for moving forward. I found out that this can be reversed. There is a foreign object lodged in his digestive tract and that's what's causing Pancreatitis. The hospital informed me that I don't have to pay another assessment fee if I come back within 24 hours. It starts with a $700 dollar ultrasound and emergency surgery to remove it plus care.
My health took a major hit in the Summer of 2023. In that season, I quickly learned that Mr. GREY was more than just my handsome/loyal pet, he was my "service dog." We've gotten through some dark days together. I made it back this way back 100%. I couldn't have done it without him. Now he needs me in the worst way. I left the veterinarian hospital today with hope in my heart knowing that this is fixable and the only thing standing between Mr. GREY and his bright and healthy future is (surgically removing) whatever is obstructing his GI tract. I am being very realistic and honest with myself to know that he can't go much longer without eating.
I've got to lead with compassion. I've got give him a fighting chance or make the hard decision to let my BEST FRIEND go with love and dignity. Whichever way this goes it all costs so much money. From the bottom of our hearts and the depths of our souls we would appreciate anything you could go!!!!
Blessings without measure!!!!!!!!!!!
