Give Mom a Loving Goodbye

Our mom has been in Mercy Hospital for some time now. She originally went in for hip surgery and was released for rehab for the surgery but ended up dislocating it and going back to the hospital. Unfortunately, with her other health issues like diabetes, CHF, and renal failure, she was put on dialysis. Palliative care spoke with us and told us that her body is giving out and all her systems are failing. We had to make the difficult decision to stop all treatment and do comfort care. She didn't have a plan in place for a funeral and she does not have any life insurance to cover it. So, her family is trying to raise enough money to give her a proper service for closure.
