Help Mochi Get a Second Chance at Pain-Free Life

Hi everyone,

I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but Mochi has quickly become too important to us not to try.

Mochi is a 5 year old stray cat we believe was abandoned due to a painful genetic dental condition. When we found him, it was clear he had been suffering for quite some time. We can tell he was once a house cat as he’s incredibly comfortable around people, affectionate, and even gets along with our dogs. Despite being abandoned, he never lost his trust in people.

Unfortunately, his dental condition has already taken a toll. He’s dealing with ongoing pain that has led to infection, including abscesses and bleeding gums. Some of his teeth are already decayed or missing, and it’s clear he’s been living with this for a long time. Despite that, he still shows nothing but love.

We’ve already gotten Mochi up to date on his vaccinations and started him on heartworm and flea prevention to give him a healthy fresh start. Now, the biggest hurdle is his dental disease. His teeth are causing him constant pain, and our vet has recommended a full dental extraction. Once that’s done, he’ll be able to live comfortably on wet food and finally be pain free.

The cost of the procedure is $1,800, which is more than we can manage on our own right now. We are fully committed to giving Mochi a safe, loving home for the rest of his life. We just need a little help to get him there.
