Give Milo a Peaceful Farewell

Donation protected
Hi my name is Taylor and I am the current caretaker at Dog Heaven LLC. In mid April my boss was contacted about a senior pitbull that was abandoned in the home of a very sweet woman who had no means to care for an unsocialized 90 lb land hippo. Milo had his very own bedroom and he was adorned with toys, high-end kibble, and he was loved by this woman - but nonetheless - she knew being in a room for 23+ hrs/day was no life for him. In February of this year, Milo was nuetered, where it was discovered that he had the highest mass cell grade tumor possible (testicular cancer) Tho it was surgetically removed, the vet advised that due to location, he was not able to fully cut the growth out. By late April his post surgery paperwork came back and it was indeed a gloomy prognosis. We were no longer looking for a home that would take an unsocialized 90 lb senior pitbull in - we were looking for one that would take him in without knowledge of behaviors, love him unconditionally, and then walk with him to the rainbow bridge. Time was of the essence, He was wasting away in that bedroom, he needed out! So on April 27th, I was able to go shopping for Milo with donations from our following and the very next day, I made the total 12 hr round trip to meet Milo and bring him home. He was such a happy, nimble, and gentle boy right off the bat, we all thought maybe he would have more time than the vet expected. However, while Milos mass was invisible to the eye when I first picked him up, it has regrown at such an expedited rate - that this weekend it opened up. We will now be battling infection, and so, with a heavy heart, we must accept Milo's fate. I had him in my arms every night for 1 month. I took him on long walks everyday - I quickly learned he loved ball, sticks, and water, so I took him to all my favorite watering holes and we adventured to new places on all my days off. I know that this was an amazing month for him opposed to being stuck in a single room, but I hadn't even kicked off his Make A Wish fund. I told all of our followers that the more we raise for him, the more id be able to do for him. Today we are raising $500 for his end of life services, as well as some pampering for his final days. No contribution is too small! $1, $2, $3 helps. Ideally I will be able to buy 2 ash urns, as I'd like to drive the 12 hr round trip once more, this time to bring a part of Milo back to the woman who kept him safe, got him vetting, and reached out to rescues until finally - Dog Heaven said yes. You are so loved Milo and I'm so sorry that we didn't find you sooner. To view more photos of Milo, pls feel free to scan my fb or follow the link below to my latest post on him. As always - I love and appreciate you all
