My name is James Lee. I am asking for help to raise funds for my daughter Mikaela Anne Monsevais' memorial and final expenses.

Tragically, Mikaela was taken from her loving family at the tender age of just 25 on Valentine's Day in a hit-and-run while walking home to be with her husband and children. Unfortunately, due to the unexpected nature of her passing, no arrangements had been set up, leaving us in the difficult situation of coming up with the necessary means to give her the memorial that she deserves.

Mikaela was a beautiful young woman with her whole life ahead of her. She had been married for less than a year to the most kind and decent son-in-law any father could hope to have in his daughter's life. She also leaves behind her three beautiful children, ages 5, 3, and 1, whom she lived for and adored. My daughter was the kind of person who could light up any room just by walking in, and was loved dearly by all of her family and friends. We have all been rocked to the core by the horrible reality of her loss as we are still struggling to understand why she was taken from us so early in life. Mikaela will truly be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Please help us send her off and be able to extend our final loving gesture of farewell to this wonderful young woman who touched so many hearts and lives with her bubbly personality and infectious smile.

Due to the fact that this only occurred in the last 48 hours, we are unable to provide a time and date for any service that will take place. As soon as we are able to raise enough to be able to make the necessary arrangements, I will share that information. The proposed memorial will be done through Roberson's in Alice. At this time, that is the only certainty. Once the cost has been taken care of, any remaining funds will be distributed to her husband to help him relocate and care for the children until he can get his life back in order.
