Hello, my name is Lucian, and my partner, Miguel, in the Dominican Republic, needs urgent help with obtaining a pacemaker for his heart. Neither of us are in a financial place of privilege to get him the urgent help he needs. He has septicemia which he’s already treated for, but his bradycardia is what’s giving him the most trouble now. He is unable to work and I am only able to cover some of his treatment costs through working, but lately I've reached my limit and he has as well. If anyone is able to spare $1 towards this, I would greatly appreciate it. He's supposed to come here to the States in June and he may not make it until then. I fear for him suffering more and eventually losing his life to his illness, and I don't want to mourn losing him. I also don't want his children to mourn his loss. I believe he deserves to live a long and healthy life and to be able to see his children grow up, just as I wish to grow old and marry him when he's here.

Ninguno de los dos goza de una situación económica privilegiada que nos permita costear la ayuda urgente que él requiere. El tiene septicemia, la cual ya está recibiendo tratamiento, pero es la bradicardia lo que más problemas le está causando ahora. Él no puede trabajar y yo, a través de mi empleo, solo logro cubrir una parte de los costos de su tratamiento; sin embargo, últimamente he llegado a mi límite, y él también. Si alguien pudiera aportar tan solo un dólar para esta causa, se lo agradecería enormemente. Se supone que él debe venir aquí, a los Estados Unidos, en el mes de junio, pero es posible que no logre sobrevivir hasta entonces. Temo que siga sufriendo y que, finalmente, pierda la vida a causa de su enfermedad; no quiero tener que llorar su pérdida. Tampoco quiero que sus hijos tengan que lamentar su ausencia. Creo que él merece vivir una vida larga y saludable, y tener la oportunidad de ver crecer a sus hijos, tal como yo deseo envejecer a su lado y casarme con él una vez que esté aquí.
