Hi, I'm Chris. Never thought I would have to do this but here we go. On my birthday five weeks ago, Mica (my 8 year old Blue Heeler) suffered a horrible life changing event while playing ball. She ran into a fence running at full speed & broke her T7-T8 vertebrates and severely damaged her spinal cord. After extensive care and testing, including MRI's and CT scans, Mica's spinal cord was found to not be fixable. She is paralyzed from the mid-back down. This means she requires constant attention, cleaning and assistance. She also needs some specialized equipment to make her life as normal as possible. She is in great spirits and healthy besides her spinal injury. She has lots of life left in her and enjoys our day to day activities. I'm asking for help so I can cover some of her medical expenses as pet insurance only covered 30% of the medical bills and so I can purchase some items to make her life more active again as a heeler is a working dog (wagon, wheel chair, bicycle trailer, drag bags, bedding, etc).

If you have ever met Mica, you know how special this dog is. She's very loving, spunky and full of Micattude. I haven't met anyone who doesn't love her to death. I appreciate you helping out with whatever you can or at least sharing this GoFundMe with your friends and family. Life has been pretty tough for us lately but I'm not willing to give up on her.
