Hello, my name is Anthony and my mother and I are seeking any kind of help in helping our little Mia get her surgery or just preparing for any kind of operation or X-rays she may need.

It started about two months ago when we first noticed our little Mia had a change in behavior. Anytime anyone got home, she’d be barking, saying hello, wagging her tail, and greeting us by smelling our clothes.

First, we noticed she was hardly eating, and then slowly we started hearing her seemingly have mucus or what sounded like congestion. We took her to a vet, and they recommended X-rays which ranged from $900-1000. Due to not having that much money, we opted for blood work and medication. A few days later, we got the results stating her blood work came out good, her kidneys were good, but that she suffered from minor anemia. Just shortly after, the congestion sounded like her airways were obstructed. We took her to another vet where they took a look inside her mouth and informed us she had a mass at the back of her throat. The mass looks more like a second tongue coming from the back of her throat, which is why she’s having trouble breathing and eating. The vet informed us that she is okay and the only setback is this mass. He used words like tumor and cancer and recommended euthanasia because of the cost to get such a thing removed.

Our little Mia is 15 years old. On occasion, even with that mass in her mouth, she still wants to bark; she wants to live. Today we took her to a vet where they were very helpful and stated what was going to happen and what was the priority. Overall, in total, with X-rays, dental extractions, and the removal of the mass, it came out to $3,445. We paid what we could with a loan we acquired, but even then it didn’t cover everything.

It’s not easy seeing her like this and the alternative is something we don’t want to consider. Anything would help and would go towards our little Mia's vet bill/recovery. Thank you for taking the time, and anything would be of great help.

Hola, mi nombre es Anthony y mi madre y yo estamos buscando cualquier tipo de ayuda para ayudar a nuestra pequeña Mia a operarse o simplemente prepararse para cualquier tipo de operación o radiografías que pueda necesitar.

Comenzó hace unos dos meses cuando notamos por primera vez que nuestra pequeña Mia tenía un cambio de comportamiento. Cada vez que alguien llegaba a casa, ella ladraba, saludaba, meneaba la cola y nos saludaba oliendo nuestra ropa.

Primero, nos dimos cuenta de que apenas comía, y luego, lentamente, empezamos a escuchar que aparentemente tenía moco o lo que sonaba como congestión. La llevamos a un veterinario y le recomendaron radiografías que oscilaron entre 900 y 1000 dólares. Debido a que no tenemos tanto dinero, optamos por análisis de sangre y medicamentos. Unos días después, obtuimos los resultados indicando que su análisis de sangre salió bien, sus riñones estaban bien, pero que sufría de anemia leve. Poco después, la congestión sonaba como si sus vías respiratorias estuvieran obstruidas. La llevamos a otro veterinario donde echaron un vistazo dentro de su boca y nos informaron que tenía una masa en la parte posterior de la garganta. La masa parece más una segunda lengua que sale de la parte posterior de su garganta, por lo que tiene problemas para respirar y comer. El veterinario nos informó que está bien y que el único contratiempo es esta masa. Usó palabras como tumor y cáncer y recomendó la eutanasia debido al costo de eliminar tal cosa.

Nuestra pequeña Mia tiene 15 años. En ocasiones, incluso con esa masa en la boca, todavía quiere ladrar; quiere vivir. Hoy la llevamos a un veterinario donde fueron muy útiles y dijeron lo que iba a pasar y cuál era la prioridad. En general, en total, con radiografías, extracciones dentales y la eliminación de la masa, llegó a 3.445 dólares. Pagamos lo que pudimos con un préstamo que adquirimos, pero incluso entonces no lo cubría todo.

No es fácil verla así y la alternativa es algo que no queremos considerar. Cualquier cosa ayudaría e iría a la factura del veterinario/recuperación de nuestra pequeña Mia. Gracias por tomarse el tiempo, y cualquier cosa sería de gran ayuda.
